Old Friends and New Fans

What a gorgeous group of southern women! This group of friends from Richmond, VA have all been touched by cancer in some form or another: a survivor, a friend, a sister, a mother. At their local Hospitality House fundraiser they wanted to honor these brave women and their moxie by sporting their SCEC Ts and their award-winning cake hats!

TVs Cojocaru, who has waged his own battle against Kidney disease, was the luncheon speaker and was so moved by the "Screw Cancer Eat Cake" message of moxie he mentioned it in his speech. And wanted his own shirt to show his support! How amazing. Every time this phrase strikes a nerve with someone it's a thrill.

Get By With A Little Help From My Friends

This group of women in Marietta, GA have held "Birthday Club" once a month for decades. They've supported each other through everything friends go through together, including one woman's two battles with breast cancer. Unbeknownst to Patty, the group planned this month's meeting in honor of her and her brave fighting spirit.

Each woman got her own "Screw Cancer Eat Cake" shirt, and they had Gabriel's Desserts, an amazing local bakery, custom bake the centerpiece to the afternoon. The women had a blast and were thrilled the surprise was pulled off. But mostly, a cancer survivor was lifted a little higher thanks to the loving support of her girlfriends.

Thanks for letting us be a part of it.

Generous Donation

A San Fransisco Uterine Cancer survivor recently received her "Screw Cancer Eat Cake" ballcap from a friend back east. She loved it and the message so much she called us up and placed a huge order: various styles of shirts, hats and totes. What she did next is truly inspiring. She took the individually wrapped items down to her local cancer center, where she'd been receiving her chemotherapy. Left to the discretion of the nurses, they handed out these gifts to numerous patients over the course of a few days. All thanks to the great idea and generosity of an unnamed fellow fighter.

What Cancer Cannot Do

Cancer is so limited.
It cannot cripple love.
It cannot shatter hope.
It cannot corrupt faith.
It cannot eat away peace.
It cannot destroy confidence.
It cannot shut out memories.
It cannot silence courage.
It cannot quench the spirit.
